Computational Social Science
Adam Poliak is a Roman Family Teaching & Research Fellow in Computer Science at Barnard College. Adam completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University where he was affiliated with the Center for Language and Speech Processing and advised by Professor Benjamin Van Durme. Adam’s research focuses on natural language understanding, exploring the limits and reasoning capabilities of NLP systems, and applying NLP to domains like public health and social sciences. Adam received Best Paper Awards in 2018 and 2019 at The Joint Conference on Lexical and Computational Semantics.
