Christian Alexander Andersson Naesseth focuses on approximate statistical inference, causality, representation learning and artificial intelligence. He is developing new algorithms, theories, and practical tools to help solve challenging problems in the field of data science. His research is conducted in collaboration with David Blei, his adviser. Christian obtained his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Linköping University, where he was advised by Fredrik Lindsten and Thomas Schön. During his Ph.D. studies, he visited Frank Wood at the University of Oxford and Blei as a Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher, which led to his postdoctoral fellowship at DSI.
