Biography
Lizbeth (Lili) Cortes Gutierrez is a recent graduate of Columbia University, where she earned an M.S. in Journalism. Her reporting and multimedia work has covered local politics, community issues, and public health. At Columbia, she also studied media ethics, content< moderation, and AI governance, developing an interest in how emerging technologies affect people and society. At the Data Science Institute, Lili will focus on storytelling and communications, using her journalism background to make complex research and emerging technologies accessible to broader audiences.
