Lori Glover is Chief of Strategic Alliances at Columbia’s Data Science Institute, where she leads the creation and development of enduring partnerships across industry, philanthropy, and the broader innovation ecosystem. Her work focuses on building trusted, multi-stakeholder collaborations that not only support academic research, but also enable real-world impact across technology, policy, and society.

Before joining Columbia, Glover led global partnerships and alliances at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), the Institute’s largest research lab. There, she oversaw corporate engagement through the CSAIL Alliance Program, research initiatives, visiting industry researcher programs, startup and technology ecosystem efforts, professional education, and talent partnerships. She also served as Executive Director of FinTech@CSAIL, MachineLearningApplications@CSAIL, and MIT’s Future of Data, Trust, and Policy Initiative.

Across her career, Glover has built partnership models that align academic openness with industry needs, emphasizing trust, clarity of expectations, and long-term value creation. She is a frequent speaker on research translation, innovation strategy, and effective university-industry collaboration in the U.S. and internationally.

Glover serves on the Board of Directors for Kindling, the Jobs Committee for Cristo Rey Boston, and is an advisor to Insight Collab. She is also the author of Innovation Alchemy: How to Build Strong Industry Engagement Partnerships for Impact and Economic Growth, and is an active member and speaker for both UIDP (University Industry Development Partnership) and UIIN (University Industry Innovation Network).

She holds a Juris Doctor and is a member of both the Massachusetts and Florida bars.
