Biography
Madiha Zahrah Choksi is a Postdoctoral Research Science at the Data Science Institute, and a visiting fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale University. Her research examines how online communities build and sustain shared governance infrastructure, working at the intersection of privacy, open-source licensing, and collective self-governance. Her doctoral work was advised by Helen Nissenbaum and James Grimmelmann.
She holds a PhD in Computing and Information Science from Cornell Tech, with a minor in Law, and holds additional degrees from Columbia University and the University of Toronto.
