Dr. Maya Ogonah is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Data Science Institute, where she is part of the 8th cohort of the DSI Postdoctoral Fellows Program. Her research interests include data-linkage, evidence synthesis, neuropsychiatric epidemiology, and patient involvement.
Under the guidance of Dr. Ragy Girgis and Dr. Linda Valeri, Dr. Ogonah will focus on utilizing longitudinal statistical modelling and causal inference methods to better understand neuropsychological predictors, mechanisms, and model trajectories of risk for violent behavior in young individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Before joining Columbia University in September 2025, Dr. Ogonah earned her DPhil in Psychiatry from the University of Oxford. She also holds a BSc in Psychology where she graduated with First-Class Honours from King’s College London.
