As a student in the MS in Data Science program, you’ll have multiple opportunities to connect with industry professionals—through guest talks, career fairs, and other events. Those relationships often continue into the capstone project, where small student teams collaborate with one or two industry mentors to tackle real-world challenges. The capstone is the culmination of your studies, integrating everything you’ve learned and preparing you for the next step in your professional journey.
DSI hosts seminars, workshops, and major convenings throughout the year, from data science industry talks to poster sessions to Columbia AI research events.
