Biography

Jean-Claude Le Grand has built his entire career in the field of Human Resources. He joined L’Oréal in 1996 and has held various HR positions, including HR Director for business units, countries, and divisions before being appointed as the Global Director of Recruitment for the Group.

From 2012 to 2017, he was responsible for International HR Development and served as the Corporate Director of Diversity. 

He has been a strong advocate for diversity, gender equality, and inclusion. In 2004, he created the Global Diversity Department at L’Oréal. He has also been a member of the Committee for Measuring Diversity and Combating Discrimination (COMEDD) and the High Council for Gender Equality (HCE).

In addition to his role at L’Oréal, Jean-Claude Le Grand has joined in 2018 the Advisory Board of Korn Ferry and he is a member of the Board of Directors of FNEGE since 2020. He is also an administrator for Sciences Po, Vice-President of the Foundation Un avenir Ensemble, an administrator of the L’Oréal Foundation, and a member of the Board of Directors of Energie Jeunes.

He holds a degree from the Institute of Political Studies of Aix-en-Provence and a Master’s degree in HR from Paris Dauphine University. In 2012, he was awarded the Legion of Honor, and in 2023, he was promoted to the rank of Officer of the Order of Merit. He is married and has 4 children.
