Adam Block is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science interested in designing provably efficient algorithms for learning, with a special focus on understanding sequential decision making, exploration, and optimization, especially in the context of language models. Prior to joining Columbia, he was a Postdoctoral Scientist at Microsoft Research in New York and before this he earned his PhD from MIT under the supervision of Alexander Rakhlin.
