As an intervention and implementation scientist with expertise in digital health innovation and artificial intelligence (AI)-based technologies, my interdisciplinary research is focused on improving care continuum outcomes and translating research into clinical and real-world practice. Specifically, my work focuses on (1) leveraging digital and AI-based technologies to expand access to health services and personalize care delivery, (2) citizen science and community-engaged research methods to develop and implement innovative and responsive interventions, (3) reducing stigma related to HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), mental health, substance use, and other marginalized conditions/identities that creates barriers to care, and (4) improving uptake of and retention in HIV, STI, mental health, and substance use care continua. My research has been conducted both domestically and internationally, particularly in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and centers on marginalized and vulnerable populations experiencing health disparities, including youth, sexual minorities, racial/ethnic minorities, people with substance use disorders, and survivors of sex trafficking.
