Gal Vishne is a Cognitive Computational Neuroscientist, researching the computational and neural underpinnings of perception and cognition. Her work employs neural recordings from multiple species and large-scale behavioral quantification, utilizing both data-driven and model-based approaches.
As part of the 2024 cohort of the Postdoctoral Research Scientist Program in the Data Science Institute, Gal Vishne works under the direction of Professor Michael Shadlen and Professor Richard Zemel, focusing on the mechanisms of perceptual decision-making.
Before joining the DSI, she completed her PhD in the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences (ELSC) in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and was a recipient of the Azrieli Foundation Graduate Fellowship.
