Dr. Sachin Jambawalikar is the Chief of medical physics division in the Department of Radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is a faculty member in both the Department of Radiology and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.

His background and training have focused on MR physics, machine learning, and medical image feature analysis. As an image analysis scientist, he is interested in developing noninvasive post processing and image analysis techniques for disease detection and evaluation of disease therapy outcomes. His long term goal is to improve disease detection by developing explainable imaging biomarkers using multi-parametric imaging and artificial intelligence.
