Adam Elmachtoub, DSI Member and Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia Engineering was recently featured in a CNN Opinion article about the jobs that AI will impact most. The article pulled together experts in data science to each weigh in on the effects that AI will have across different industries and labor markets. In the piece, Elmachtoub shared his thoughts on how AI will help grocery store retailers set inventory, allocate staff, and optimize delivery logistics around professional sports and game days.
