The Harvard Data Science Initiative’s Bias2 Seminar Series offers monthly webinars featuring speakers who shed light on different types of bias through the use of data science, as well as speakers who raise concerns around problems with data, algorithms, and data science methodology. 

Desmond Patton, an associate professor of social work and associate director of diversity, equity and inclusion for the Data Science Institute (DSI), joined Kathleen McKeown, Henry and Gertrude Rothschild Professor of Computer Science and DSI’s founding director, to discuss their work to create and sustain a race and equity task force in data science at Columbia University.
