Anna Spinner joined the Data Science Institute as Executive Director of Communications Science in January 2024.
Anna came to DSI with more than 20 years experience in communications across Columbia University, most recently serving as Assistant Provost for Strategic Communications from 2019 until 2024 in the Office of the Provost. Previously, she served in roles at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the Office of the President, the Office of Public Affairs, and the Office of Alumni and Development. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in a range of communications products, from writing speeches and announcements to launching websites, newsletters, print, and video productions.
Anna has a master’s degree from the Columbia Journalism School and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University.
