Computing Systems for Data-Driven Science
Data, Media and Society
Eugene Wu is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University. He received a Ph.D. in EECS from MIT in 2014, and a B.S. from UC Berkeley. His current research areas are on developing tools to help provide explanations for anomalous data or analysis results, and on data visualization management systems — a new database oriented approach towards re-architecting modern interactive visualization systems in a declarative manner. He broadly interested in technologies that help users play with their data, including data management, data cleaning, interactive analysis tools, visualization, stream processing and crowdsourcing.
Dr. Wu was program chair of New England Database Day, serves on the program committees of VLDB, HILDA, Data4U, and clouddm.
