Dr. Lee received her bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Statistics at the Seoul National University and completed her Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In pursuing her academic career, Dr. Lee completed her postdoctoral training in Biostatistics and Biomedical engineering under the supervision of Drs. Dzung L. Pham and Brian S. Caffo at the Henry Jackson Foundation and Johns Hopkins University.

She joined Mental Health Data Science at NYSPI and the Department of Biostatistics and Psychiatry at Columbia University in 2013 as an assistant professor of clinical biostatistics (in Psychiatry) and was promoted to associate professor of clinical biostatistics (in Psychiatry) in 2020.
