Zhihong Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University’s Data Science Institute and is also affiliated with the School of Nursing. Her work focuses on leveraging data science to advance the understanding of complex health issues. Her previous research examined symptoms and other patient-reported outcomes to support treatment decision-making in older adults with cancer. Currently, her research focuses on applying large language models and deep learning techniques, in combination with machine learning approaches, to integrate structured EHRs, free-text clinical notes, and conversational audio/video data for enhancing risk prediction in home healthcare settings.
