Financial crimes can take various forms today, including fraudulent credit card transactions, cyber-attacks, account theft, and many more. Industries must adapt to constantly changing breach patterns and proactively identify behaviors to prevent fraudulent activities. Data Science helps us achieve just that, and therefore it’s one of the essential pillars of fraud detection.
In this presentation, we will discuss how Mastercard leverages data science and advanced analytics to assist its customers in proactively identifying vulnerabilities within their cyber environment and helping them detect potential data breaches and cyber threats. We will specifically go over different stages of the payment data breach lifecycle and how Mastercard uses data science in individual steps to identify a breach and prevent losses due to fraud.
